Truth & The Beating (Interlude)

Four Days Ago- Five O'clock in the Afternoon
Lauren sat on the hospital bed not hearing anything that the doctor was saying to her. All she could think about was what she was going to do. Her mind raced to Vincent, and what bitch he was probably up in right now. Lauren began to cry hard as Dr. Massy put his hand on her shoulder. When he saw that Lauren was breaking down more he pulled her into a tight comforting hug. Lauren let him hold her for a while but then she pulled away.
"Im sorry....... Im sorry that I had to be the one to tell you about this."
"No Dr. Massy..... Im sorry." Lauren felt humiliated right now. She felt disgusted about herself. She felt stupid about her decisions. She felt like she let herself down.
"Sit down Ms. Lovelace. Im going to go write up your prescriptions, and draw up your discharge papers. I'll be back in about ten minutes." Lauren was looking down at the ground when she nodded her head. She bite her lip and blinked her eyes trying to stop the tears. She rubbed her throat, and swallowed repeatedly trying to hold back the sobs forming. There was only one person she could think of right now. She knew she wasnt going to get Nicki so she dialed up Candi's number. Lauren could always count on Candi to be there for her. She had known Candi since they was in ninth grade, and Candi hasnt failed her since then. She thought of a way while the phone was ringing to tell Candi about what she just discovered. "HELL-OOOOOOOO" Candi said beaming through the phone. Lauren jumped.
"That sorry ass motherfucker!!!!!" Lauren yelled.
"Ren..... Whats wrong?" Candi asked listening to Lauren's under breath cussing.
"Fuck his black ass! I dont care about him!!!!!" Lauren yelled again.
"Ren!!!" Candi yelled into the phone.
"I take his ass back after all that shit and he does me like this.... ME!?! Like the one who washed his stanking ass clothes, cooked his damn meals, bent over backwards to make sure he was good.... Pauz but still. Ugh, Fuck you Vincent Anthony Smith!!!"
"LAUREN!!!!!!" Candi screamed louder this time snapping out of her trance.
"Huh?" Lauren said responding.
"I can tell this is going to cause for one our night sleepovers. Im going to drop Isaiah off with my mom then Im going to come over to your house. I should be there around eight. I'll bring some takeout."
"Okay..... I'll take De'Andre to my sister's." Lauren said wiping her tears.
"Okay, See you in a few. And no crying sister. Its going to be okay." Lauren chuckled as she hung up the phone. Dr. Massy walked back into the room and heard Lauren's soft chuckle.
"Awww, There is that smile." He said smiling at her. Lauren looked at him closely. He had the most toned physic she had ever seen. Broad shoulders, and muscles that could be seen well even through his white coat. He had a perfect smile with pearly white teeth. He had a skin tone of rich milk chocolate. His eyes was a light grey color that had a hint of green. His hair was in cornrows, that was braided close. They hung right at the middle of his back. His low cut goatee really brought out his nice full lips. Lauren never realized how sexy he was until now.
"Yeah, My friend just told me a joke."
"Oh really? What was it?" Lauren got quiet, and looked away trying to think of a good joke but couldnt. She could never have a good back up lie.
"Well, Dr. Massy..." Lauren started off but was cut off by him.
"Please call me Alec." He said. Lauren was taken back. This wasnt supoosed to go like this.
"Well Alec..... Its kind of a personal joke."
"Oh, I completely understand." Alec said writing on this piece of paper. "Well, you are all set. Just sign where the 'X' is and you can leave." Alec said handing Lauren his clipboard. Lauren signed her name, and handed it back to Alec while looking down. Just before he handed her the prescriptions he lifted her chin with index finger. Lauren froze up while looking in his eyes. They was so dreamy to her. Alec dropped the prescriptions on the floor and pulled Lauren to him. He crashed his lips against her's, holding her tight. His six feet tall build made Lauren have to stand on her tip toes. Alec pushed Lauren back against the wall as their tongues tussled back and forth. Before he knew it Lauren pushed him away, and grabbed her bag. Just like that she was out of the door. Lauren ran down to the play area, and picked De'Andre up. She grabbed his bag, and left out of the doctor's office crying hard.
Three Hours Later
"Wait...... Let me get this shit straight. You have three STD's and Vincent gave them to you?" Candi asked sipping her Sangria wine.
"Yes and Im pissed at his ass. Like the other night he was telling me 'Aww baby, I love you. I want to be with you. I want you, me and Dre to be a family.' FUCK THAT SHIT!!!! Im going to light into his ass when I see him." Candi laughed at Lauren, and lifted the bottle of wine again. She realized that they had drunk it all.
"Damn.... We are out wine. Let me run up to the store and get some more." Candi said getting up from the couch.
"Okay. Let me go get my shoes." Candi looked at Lauren.
"Naw.... You go in the store, and think you have to go grocery shopping. Stay here and fix your t.v. I'll be back in about 10 minutes" Candi said running out of the house. Lauren shook her head at she walked up to her t.v.
Lauren had been working on her television now for about 20 minutes, when she heard the door come open.
"Candi, Its been damn near half a hour. What happened?" Lauren said hooking the cable.
"Nothing fucking happened, I just came here to see you and....." Lauren jumped up and looked at Vincent.
"Just the motherfucker I wanted to see." She said cutting him off. She watched as he stumbled toward the couch, holding a Vodka bottle. She didnt really care that he was drunk, she was going to deal with him now.
"Who is the hoe that gave your ass these three STD's that you gave me!?" Lauren yelled walking up on him. Vincent pushed her back.
"Dont come at me with no fucking bullshit Lauren." Vincent said with his words sluring.
"Answer my damn question." Lauren yelled smacking him. Vincent turned his face, so he wasnt looking at her.
"I have a problem."
"I think its your damn brain."
"Lauren, Im forreal. This might break me and Safaree's friendship for good this time."
"Wait..... Safaree? What does he have to do with this?" Lauren said looking at Vincent weird.
"I dont want to talk about it." He said sitting down.
"Yes the FUCK you will. Now tell me." Lauren yelled. "You are such a fucking dog. I was stupid as hell to mess with your black ass." When Lauren said that Vincent jumped up, and smacked her hard causing her to fall to the floor.
"See thats why I slept with her...... Thats why I fucked her!!!!! You wont never shut your fucking mouth." Vincent grabbed Laren by the back of her head, gripping her hair. He then pushed her face first into the coffee table. He watched her lay on the floor holding her face. Blood was oozing from her forehead, and her lip was cut by the glass.
"Thats right I fucked Naomi and I actually enjoyed it. Your pussy wasnt enough bitch! You the cause for every bad thing that happen! Yeah I had STD's and fucked you raw....Hell I did it to her too!! The only reason Im worried now is because of Safaree. He might have the shit!" He walked up to Lauren and grabbed her by her throat. He balled up his fist, and punched her in the eye. Vincent then gargled, and spit in Lauren's face. He then let her fall over, and when she did he picked his foot up. He looked at her laying there, and kicked her in the stomach.
"Ren.... I had to go to six stores to find our wine." Candi said walking through the door. She looked up to see Vincent standing over Lauren. She saw that blood was on the floor, and the living room was messed up.
"LAUREN!!!!" She screamed dropping the bag. Vincent saw her coming, and kicked his foot out causing Candi to fall, and bump her head. Vincent saw both of them laying there, and he just grabbed his vodka bottle, and ran out of the apartment. He didnt know what he had done. Low, and behold he didnt know that someone was watching him the whole time.... Plotting the biggest revenge.
