Dangerously In Love

Darkness took over all of the bedrooms. Silence fell loudly throughout the house. The clock ticked as the thunder and lightning raged through the New York sky. Nicki stood in the window looking at the rain pour down. Allianna was sleeping soundly, and peaceful. Nicki was glad that she put her to sleep before the storm happened.
"Children have not one worry.... I wish it could be like that for me." Nicki smirked as her phone vibrated across the coffee table. She walked over to it, and sat her cup of honey tea down. Nicki looked at the screen, and sighed heavy. She answered with a snappy tone.
"What?"
"Why you answering the phone like that?"
"What do you want Candi?" Nicki said ignoring the question.
"Well I saw that I missed your call this morning, so I was calling....."
"I called you at 9:25 this morning now it's...." Nicki pulled the phone from her ear, and hit a random button to see the time. " 5:40 in the afternoon, and you want to call back?" Candi was caught off guard with Nicki's sharp tone.
"What's wrong Nic?"
"You know what..... I'm tired of everyone asking me that damn question!!! I'm hurting. My life isn't supposed to be like this. Everything is supposed to be completely DIFFERENT!!! Candi, I'm alone. I'm doing everything alone now! I don't have anybody!!!"
"Nicki..."
"No, dont give me that sympathy voice. I don't need sympathy. I need help!! I need love!! I need somebody just like the next bitch!! I wasn't supposed to be another statistic Candi!"
Nicki heard Allianna whimper. She walked over to the little automatic swing. She put her hand on Alli's forehead. Candi was talking away but Nicki wasn't listening. She put the phone down, and picked Alli up.
"You feel warm ladybug. Let me get you out of these clothes." Nicki walked up the stairs to Alli's room. She laid her in the crib, and pulled the Pink Star one piece off Alli had on. Then she pulled off the little white under shirt she had on. Then Nicki picked her up, and walked out of the room. On her way to her bedroom, Nicki turned the air up to cool the house down.
Nicki had forgot about Candi being on the phone. She walked into her bedroom, and shut the door. She got on her bed with Alli held close to her chest. Allianna looked up at Nicki and yawned. Nicki looked around the bed for the television remote only to see it on the dresser. She looked down at her daughter.
"Mommy needs to put the remote on the night stand when cleaning up." She said giggling as she laid the baby down on her bed.
"Don't you move one inch butterball." Nicki got up from the bed, and walked over toward the dresser. She turned around only to see Allianna rolling over from her back to her stomach. Nicki screamed, which cause her to stop moving.
"No, Go ahead baby girl." Alli pushed a little more and rolled completely over. Nicki ran back to the bed and picked her up.
"Aww, Stinka!! I'm sooooo proud of you!! Oh My God Safaree! Come Now!!!" Nicki was so happy that it took her a minute to realize what she yelled. He had been on her mind very heavy lately. Nicki lowered her arms, bringing Allianna out of the air. The feelings for him had never left. All of them that she had two years ago was still present. Even with the memories of that heartbreaking arguement they had. Nicki sat down in her chair. That night had been one of her worst, if not thee worst.
"I CAN'T STAND YOU!" She remembered him screaming. "YOU WAS FAKING YOUR FEELINGS FROM THE BEGINNING!! YOU DON'T LOVE ME & YOU NEVER DID!!!" Nicki cringed at the memory. It sent chills up her spine. Tears began to burn the back of her eyes. They was begging to be let go of. As that one tear slowly fell down her right cheek, the others fell faster from her left eye. Nicki actually felt her heart break. She began to sob more, and let the tears roll. They was falling off her chin landing on Allianna's little stomach.
Allianna sat up, and rubbed her little thumb across Nicki's cheeks. She was moving like she wanted to be stood up. Nicki lifted her, and she wrapped her little arms around Nicki's neck. Nicki held her baby as she cried more, and more. If she didn't have anyone else, she did have her little star who would always be there.
